The recent activities of Upazila Social Service Office, Nandale, Mymensingh are as follows:

Social Security Programme:

A total of 22,676 people are covered under the social security program through (a) Old Age Allowance Scheme; (b) a total of 9,965 persons through widows and deserted women's allowance scheme; (c) A total of 11,524 persons have been given allowances through the Indigent Handicapped Allowance Scheme and (d) A total of 262 persons have been given allowances through the Education Stipend Scheme for Disabled Students. About 10,000 people have applied online for the allowance in the financial year 2023-2024 in whose favor the payment of allowance is in progress. Against the total application, 3578 people have been allotted for which not all of them can be brought under the batar. The matter has been informed to the Directorate.

Poverty Alleviation and Socio-Economic Development Programme:

Rural social service programs, rehabilitation programs for acid burns and disabled persons are being implemented in this upazila under the scope of poverty alleviation and socio-economic development program. (a) The total amount of capital allocated so far in the interest-free micro credit sector under rural social service program is ৳1,55,71,050 to 2655 backward families of this upazila and (b) the total capital in this upazila in the loan program conducted under the rehabilitation program of burnt and disabled persons. The amount of allocated money is ৳19,07,000 which has been made self-supporting by giving loans to 124 backward and disabled people of this upazila. Loan operations are ongoing throughout the year.

Housing and Shelter Schemes:

There were activities in this upazila in the past days under the housing and shelter project. Currently, a house is under construction in Chandipasha Union, which is estimated to be completed by April 2024.

Disability Identification Survey:

Survey activities are conducted in that upazila through the Disability Awareness Program. Through this survey, the number of disabled persons of different categories identified - 10132 people were identified and identity cards were distributed among them. This work is ongoing throughout the year. The work of providing Golden Citizen Card to all the disabled is going on.

Voluntary Organizations and Community Empowerment:

44 voluntary organizations have been registered in this upazila. Organizations that are playing an important role in socio-economic development including conducting various social awareness activities in the society. Currently this work is ongoing.

Health care activities

Through Rogikalyan Samati, Nandail provides free medical services to the needy and distressed people throughout the year.
